Benton County has numerous attractions for residents and visitors to enjoy year round. Whether you are looking for an afternoon of memorable fun with the family; a romantic evening with that special someone; a weekend of shopping with friends; or a week long venture into the woods for rest, relaxation and bit of solitude – Benton County has something for everyone.

The Great Outdoors

You can hardly step foot into our borders without finding the Ozark scenery breathtaking. Water enthusiasts will quickly discover Beaver Lake meandering along over 449 miles of natural shoreline and offering a dozen completely equipped parks for a host of fun activities from boating, canoeing, skiing and scuba-diving to sightseeing, picnicking, fishing and camping. Below soaring limestone bluffs and nestled within a mixture of native hardwood trees and an assortment of evergreen forests, Beaver Lake is a tourists dream as well as a paradise for hunters and fishermen. Hunters will find game from deer to wild turkey and fishermen will find a plentiful stock of everything from rainbow trout to hybrid stripers. As you explore Benton County you will find Beaver Lake and another 19 lakes.

Cave Country

Spelunkers will find one adventure after another in the County's caves and caverns including the mysterious Old Spanish Treasure Cave & War Eagle Cavern.



Museums & History

History has made its mark on Benton County. Go back in time to 1862 when 26,000 soldiers fought here in the Civil War by visiting the Pea Ridge Military Park; walk back to 1875 by touring The Peel Mansion and wander through the Heritage Gardens grounds; view history through the centuries at the Siloam Springs Museum, the Rogers Historical Museum or the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History. What historical journey would be complete without visiting Walton's Five & Dime to see where the world’s largest retailer began, blast from the past at the Daisy Airgun Museum, visit War Eagle Mill and see the nation’s only undershot waterwheel along with Arkansas’ only water-powered grist mill, and tour the Gravette Historical Museum which opended in 2011 during Gravette Day.

"Explore America's newest great museum" by visiting Crystal Bridges, the premier institution of American Art is now open.



An Afternoon to Remember

Ozark nature can be studied by strolling through the native woodland plants, gardens and wildlife at Compton Gardens; war heroes can be remembered by visiting the Veteran's Wall of Honor, and sports memories can be made by catching a Northwest Arkansas Naturals game.
