Criteria for consideration include the process of orderly and systematic recordation of land subdivision, conveyance, and area improvement.

Floodplain Management The Planning Office also oversees the National Flood Insurance Program for the county, which requires that all development in designated floodplains comply with Federal Emergency Management Agency mandates and Benton County's Floodplain Ordinance. On-going flood managment efforts include:

Working with realtors, landowners and developers in addressing flood issues/problems

Requiring/reviewing all proposed development permits affecting a FEMA designated floodplain

Insuring compliance with the County's Floodplain Ordinance

Providing and managing the required map repository,

Can be of assistance with FEMA approved flood map revisions including LOMA, CLOMA, LOMR and CLOMR

Many other related issues.
